once you have phoned me, I will organise a meeting with you to discuss the project you want carried out. We will talk about the plans, specifications, regulations and more that's involved in your project.

Once we've had a detailed chat about the work you want carried out , I would then need time to price the job. Once I have priced the job, I would then send a email to you with the estimate and the agreements letter attached.  

Once we have a agreement with you, I would then give you a time and date to when we can start.

On the first day of the job we would gather all the tools, plant and materials to proceed with the work, going through the stages, making sure that the job runs smoothly and keeping you informed with every step that we take.

At the end of the job we will make sure that the site is left clean and tidy ready for you to enjoy and we will conform with you to make sure that you are happy with the standard of work that we have done. 

During and after the work you will receive emails with invoices attached to it with my company details, job description and bank details.

Depending on the size of the job I do invoicing as stage payments or weekly payments.

Jewsons, Parkers building supplies, Travis Perkins, Sheerness Recycling, Faversham hire, Quinneys fencing supplies, East Kent Recycling and Howdens.

We do use other companies if we are not working local.

With every job there is waste with site clearance, soil, hardcore and materials. during and at the end of every job we take care of it with skips, grab lorries or company vehicle.

we do not deal with anything hazardous for example: asbestos, tv's, gas bottles, toxic substances and what ever is listed in our skips companies policies.

Yes! Lewis Smith has a high standard of workmanship with every job I take on, I do not tolerate rough work from myself or other tradesman's. No one is perfect I know but if there is a mistake, I personally make sure that it is corrected.

I also expect a high standard from our clients as well by being fair, understanding and keeping us informed with any problems that come our way.

For my pricing I use a software called Estimator Express from HBXL.

What is Estimator Express?

Estimator Express is a pricing software that helps me price jobs using estimating calculators and a price book that is updated regularly with a group of price trackers from the HBXL team. with the software it makes sure that you get a fair estimate, making sure that all materials, labour, sundries, plant and overheads are all covered.

With most building work there is planning permission from your local authorities, building control and structural engineers involved. We do not start a job if these are not in placed.

Safe to say so far that we have not made a mistake with our work or endangered anyone around us on site, but in case of a unfortunate event, we are fully covered.
